Irvine

Irvine is situated a short drive inland from the Pacific Ocean in Orange County California. There are approximately 313,685 residents living in the city. A lot of new home construction has been added to the city over the past two decades. Irvine is the home of the University of California Irvine. The school provides a rich and diverse environment of learning for students throughout the world. This is truly an icon of education. UC Irvine contains the Beall Center for the Arts, Barclay Theater, and the Museum of California Art.

Places not to be missed are Five Points Amphitheater, Bren Event Center, Pacific Symphony, Wild Rivers, Irvine Lake, and the Irvine Spectrum center. Great Park also provides lots of fun things to do. The most spectacular is the Gigantic tethered Balloon that provides rides high above Irvine. You can see Irvine in a 360° panorama. Besides the Balloon, there are carousel rides and several sports fields. Walk the sidewalk to the Balloon and read the history of the United States and the world.
